North Coast Greyhound Connection Inc. (NCGC) is a pro-racing non-profit 501(c)(3) organization entirely run by unpaid volunteers who are passionate about this amazing, ancient breed.

Our mission is to create a supportive community for retired racing greyhounds in the northwest Ohio area.

We are proud to be recognized as an approved responsible adoption partner by the National Greyhound Association. We respect the racing community and the care that is given to our pro athletes before they come to us.

Our dogs come first. ALWAYS.

Upon arrival, all NCGC dogs are examined by our expert team of veterinarians. They are spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, treated for parasites, made up to date on yearly vaccinations, and have their teeth cleaned. While in our care, our greyhounds are given monthly heartworm and flea & tick prevention.

We are proud to take many of the dogs that most other groups don’t want – seniors, broken legs, special needs, etc. – because we believe that they deserve happiness and love too.

In addition, NCGC also supports greyhounds with permanent foster homes. When older or medically-compromised greyhounds require more care than the average adopter can afford, we place them in a permanent foster home program where the dogs live happily with families of their own while we continue to pay the costs of their care until they cross over the rainbow bridge.
